2 Tip #1: Leadership “Leadership is not about a title or a designation. It’s about impact, influence and inspiration. Impact involves getting results, influence is about spreading the passion you have for your work, and you have to inspire team-mates and customers.” - Robin S. Sharma Look behind you. If no one is following you, you’re not a leader.

3 Tip #2: Ability to Work on a Team
Most jobs/careers require you to work with others. Play nice. You don’t have to be friends, but you should be friendly. If you are on a team, do your part and be willing to help your teammates do theirs.

Think “outside of the box” Be the “go-to” employee

6 Tip #5: Verbal Communication Skills
Ummmm. This one is ummmm important too ‘cause what you say is a reflection on the company too bro! Avoid slang or street language. Use vocabulary appropriate to the job.

7 Tip #6: Strong Work Ethic
Show up a little bit early and/or stay a little bit late. Do more than others around you are doing. Go the extra mile. Do what others won’t do unless they are asked.

8 Tip #7: Initiative Be a self-starter. Don’t wait to be told to do something. Look for problems to solve and solve them. Employers do not enjoy asking you to do your job. Always look busy.

Look at situations from different perspectives.

10 Tip #9: Flexibility/Adaptability
Don’t say, “That’s not my job.” Be willing try new things with a positive attitude.

If you don’t already have the skills for the job, learn them. You may have been hired primarily for your other qualities. Employers don’t always hire the person most technically suited for the job. They hire the person who can grow into the job.

Put the customer first. Treat customers as guests. Have positive relationships with co-workers and your employer.

Dress for the next positon that you would like in the company.

14 Tip #13: Detail Oriented Complete every task down to the last detail.
Often it is a little thing that makes a big difference with employers.

15 Tip #14: Honesty & Integrity
Tell the truth. The truth is always easy to remember. Always work as if the boss is watching, even when he/she isn’t. Don’t steal from the company. Don’t conduct personal business while at work.

Your interaction with customers must always be friendly. You are representing the company. Have a positive “can-do attitude” with your co-workers and boss
