Lesson Overview! Kelly bought 1/2 pound of cheese. What is the decimal number for that amount? In this lesson, you will find equivalent fractions with denominators of 10, 100, or 1,000 to help you name the decimal number.

Converting to a “Friendly” Denominator
Convert the denominator to a friendly number. (10, 100, or 1000) You must multiply the numerator by the same number you multiplied the denominator. If it’s already a denominator is already 10, 100, or 1000 you can skip this step!
