7 Theoretical Probability
Theoretical Probability = the likeliness of an event happening based on all the possible outcomes. (Feel free to write this in your own words to remember it better!) Your possible outcomes are the 10 combinations and 4 of them have a yellow, so your theoretical probability is 4/10 (2/5) or 40%.

9 How many of these packs do you think will have a yellow?
Class Predictions:

10 Video 

11 There were 136 packages that contained ≥ 1 yellow.
How was this different from your predictions?

12 Experimental Probability
Experimental (Empirical) Probability = the ratio of the number of times the event occurs to the total number of trials. (Feel free to write this in your own words to remember it better!) Your total number of trails = 287 packages Number of times the event occurs = the number of packages that had one or more yellows.

14 Probability & a Deck of 52 Cards
a. Find the probability of being dealt a heart. b. Find the probability of being dealt a king. Examples if there is extra time and the students want them.

15 Rolling a Die S = {1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6} What is the probability of getting a number less than 5? What is the probability of getting an even number? Examples if there is extra time and the students want them.

16 Go through different probabilities examples
What is the probability of getting a sum of 8? What is the probability of rolling a 5 second? Transition into tomorrow’s lesson: what is the probability of getting a sum of 4 or a sum of 11?
