Objective D – Pediatric Residency Hospital Externship Program: To expand the externship program of the pediatric residency training program at Rice Memorial Hospital Dental Clinic located in Willmar, Minnesota to include the provision of dental treatment under general anesthesia. Equip the Rice Memorial Hospital operating room with a dental delivery cart, a digital dental radiography system, and related items necessary for performing comprehensive diagnostic and restorative dental treatment under general anesthesia in the operating room. Improved access to a higher level of pediatric dental care to the dentally underserved low income children who reside in Willmar, MN and the surrounding rural communities – allowing the establishment of local pediatric dental home for these children.
