3 What is Confederation? The Union of present day Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick in The remaining provinces joined between 1870 and 1949.

4 When and where did Confederation take place?
-Confederation took place on July 1st, 1867. - Leaders of independent colonies met at a meeting in prince edward island to discuss becoming an independent country. -Nova Scotia and New Brunswick joined the province of Canada. -Manitoba, Northwest Territories-July 15, 1870 -British Columbia-July 20, 1871 -Prince Edward Island-July 1, 1873 -Yukon- -Saskatchewan, Alberta- -Newfoundland-, (labradour ) -Nunavut-

5 WHY DID THE FOUNDING FATHERS SUPPORT CONDEFERATION?
There were several founding fathers of Canada. Each father had a different view on Confederation at different times. However they did all care about the colonies they represented. This is why they joined Canada. They felt it was best for the people of the colonies they represented.

7 HOW DID CONFEDERATION BENEFIT MODERN DAY CANADA?
Without Confederation Canada would be a very different country. Luckily we live in one unified nation thanks to Confederation. Canada has one of the strongest economies among world powers today. All these things could not have happened without Confederation. Some benefits of the Canadian Confederation are that we can have highways and railways running through the entire nation with one passport. It also means we share the same airspace making air travel simple.
