Over Population Geral

Introduction This presentations contain information that has over population and cause of preventing action

Introduction Overpopulation is a generally undesirable condition where an organism's numbers exceed the carrying capacity of its habitat. Overpopulation can result from an increase in births, a decline in mortality rate, an increase in immigration, or an unsustainable biome and depletion of resources

Fact The population has been growing continuously since the end of the Black Death around the year 1400, although the most significant increase has been in the last 50 years, mainly due to medical advancements and increases in agricultural productivity.

fact When a region's population density is growing, water-associated infectious disease outbreaks are more likely to occur, according to a new global analysis by Ohio State One in four of the world's children are fragile. In developing countries this figure is as high as one in three. That means their body and brain has failed to develop properly because of malnutrition. Malnutrition is an underlying cause of the death of 2.6 million children each year - one-third of the global total of children's deaths

fact * Although the rate of population growth has been declining since the 1980s. The united nations has expressed, as of February 23, 2012 the world human population is estimated to be 6.996 billion by the United States Census Bureau

Prevention China and other nations already have regulations limiting the birth rate, with China using the one child policy. Contraception is a response to the fact that nearly 40% of pregnancies are unintended and that in the poorest regions mothers often lack information and the means to control the size of their families.

Conclusion The world's population 'boom' is not a result of an increase in birth rates, but rather a decrease in death rates. When people have fewer children, they are better able to take care of themselves. And women who have fewer children have less risk of maternal mortality. So, with modern medicine and improved lifestyles, people tend to live even longer - causing quite a dilemma

conclusion They propose a giant pyramid scheme to continue to produce young people who would take care of the old people - leaving the question of who is going to take care of the young people when they get old?
