Language
Our tour guide will speak only in Japanese.
Notes
The sea of clouds spreads over the Kussharo caldera which is the biggest in Japan. When the seasons and conditions are align, there will also be a sea of clouds in Lake Mashu and so it becomes a double cloud sea. Our guide will show you Lake Mashu and a unique scenery that can be seen only here in the early morning.

Receive ticket when you check-in or before we will depart each hotel in advance.
Meeting
Please be at the lobby area by 04:50.
Pick Up
We will pick you up between 04:50 –05:00 from 7 different hotels in Kawayu Onsen. Our pick up service may be slightly delayed if there are a large number of customers. Please wait for the bus until we can pick you up.
Preparation
We cannot use a public bathroom at Lake Mashu at night. Please go to bathroom when we will depart each hotel in advance.

※Temperature can be about 10℃. Please bring jacket!

Leave for『Lake Mashu Star Watching Tour』※It takes about 30mins to Lake Mashu
We will explain about stars and Lake Mashu in the bus.
※The size of the bus will change depends on the number of the participants.

Arrival at Lake Mashu observatory
Our guide will explain about stars
We will explain about stars, moon and any other topics about night sky.
If we cannot find stars due to weather conditions, our tour will relocate to Mt. Io or Lake Kussharo.

We will guide about star, moon and any other topics about night sky.

Arrival at Kawayu Onsen We drop you off in front of your hotel

Please prepare warm clothes.
Temperature (During tour)
June and October the minimum temperature will be around 6 degrees but we will turn on the heater in the bus, so you may feel warm in the bus
Clothes
You may feel cold outside during the tour even in the summer. If you do not feel cold outside it is easy to take off a layer such us fleece and windbreaker, but it is better to have it with you.
Cancellation Policy
Cancel
You can cancel your reservation up until 18:30 previous day.
Cancel Fee
If you cancel for personal reasons after 18:30 previous day, we are unable to refund your tour fee.
Weather Decision
We check the weather forecast at 04:30 and we will leave for the tour except on rainy morning. Even if weather is fine at 04:30, sometimes weather will be changed. Please understand the weather conditions.
Rainy day
If we decide not to operate the tour due to weather and traffic conditions we will inform your hotel by 04:40 on the day.
Payment for Tour Fee
Hotel
If you have reserved on our website or at the hotel front desk, please pay at the front desk upon arrival at the hotel.
Travel Agency
If you have reserved via a travel agency in Japan, please hand the voucher to our guide.
Guide
If you reserved via another website, please pay to our guide on the spot in cash.
