Application to our lives today Lesson 6
Corinthians Application to our lives today Lesson 6

Read 1 Corinthians 3:1-4

1 Corinthians 3:1-4 What period of time is Paul talking about in vss. 1-2a? What about 2b-3? Why couldn’t Paul speak to them as men rather than babes in 1-2a? What about in 2b-3?

1 Corinthians 3:1-4 So, these couple of verses beg one very obvious question: How do we get ready to receive real food rather than milk? What are the differences between babes and men as Paul explains in these verses?

1 Corinthians 3:1-4 How can we apply this to our Christian walk?

Read 1 Corinthians 3:5-9

1 Corinthians 3:5-9 So who are Paul and Apollos? Paul is saying that they are mere men as well – but they are men who “got Corinth’s” attention by preaching the gospel They may each do a particular job (Paul planted, Apollos watered), but in the end, it wasn’t men that caused them to believe

1 Corinthians 3:5-9 Who causes the growth? How does God cause the gospel to grow within someone? Hint: What did the end of the last chapter say?

1 Corinthians 3:5-9 So Paul and Apollos are just men who did some labor for the Lord And they will each be rewarded for that labor (by whom?)

1 Corinthians 3:5-9 Vs. 9 is interesting because we don’t think of our work for God like that Paul says “we are God’s fellow workers” How are Paul, Apollos, and God working?

1 Corinthians 3:5-9 Paul also writes that the Corinthians are God’s field and God’s building How are they a field? How are they a building?

1 Corinthians 3:5-9 How can we apply this to our Christian walk?
