2 How To Play: When you play the game, click on the TEXT DOLLAR AMOUNT that the contestant asks for, not the box. When the contestants give their questions (really the answer), click anywhere on the screen to see the correct question. Click on the “Score” box so that you can return to the main game board. Enter the score on the contestants black box. If you are running out of time you can proceed to the FINAL Jeopardy button on the main game board to finish. This will be where the contestants wager their money on the outcome of the last question. It is a good idea to allow your kids to watch the Real Jeopardy before playing for the first time. DO NOT save the game. This will overwrite the program with the scores and data you enter. After you create the answers and questions for the first time, You might save it as a different name ie.Ch13 review, but keep this file untouched! Enjoy Let’s Play!!!

30 $500 Molly grew four bean plants in pots with the same soil and provided each with an equal amount of light. She gave each plant different amounts of the reactants involved in photosynthesis. She then measured the amount of gas produced by each plant and their increase in height over a few weeks. An independent variable in Molly’s experiment is the amount of a. water given to each plant. b. height gained by each plant. c. oxygen produced by each plant. d. carbon dioxide produced by each plant.

A group of scientists wishes to see if using a new, environmentally friendly pesticide is effective in preventing insect damage to soybeans. Three different soybean plots are planted. The first plot contains soybeans treated with the traditional pesticide. The second plot is treated with the new environmentally friendly pesticide. The third plot is left untreated. Which plot is the control group? The first plot with traditional pesticide The second plot with the new pesticide There is no control group The third plot with no pesticide.

The first plot contains soybeans treated with the traditional pesticide. The second plot is treated with the new environmentally friendly pesticide. The third plot is left untreated. What could be concluded if the plot treated with the new pesticide has damage similar to the control plot? The new pesticide may not be effective. The experiment is a failure. The control plot was problematic. The new pesticide should be used.
