1 Is sensitivity heightened on your dominant hand or non- dominant hand?
By: Ayannah Turner

2 Question Which hand is more sensitive to your dominant hand or non- dominant hand in ice water?

3 Research/ Background Information
The websites on the bottom are where I got my information from and to learn that from the beginning that the dominant hand was going to be more sensitive than the non- dominant hand

4 Hypothesis I predict that the dominant hand is going to be the least sensitive because you mainly do everything with it and it being cold is just something that wouldn’t phrase it that much. The non- dominant hand i would say would be the most sensitive because you rarely do anything to it so it actually feeling and doing something it is going to react differently to the cold water causing it to be more sensitive to the ice water than the dominant hand.

5 Procedure First, fill a bowl with ice water. Second, ask test person to put place both hands in the ice water and to keep it in there as long as possible only remove one hand when it becomes uncomfortable and keep the other hand in the water. Third, start stopwatch. Fourth, record if the person is left or right handed. Fifth, record the time on how long the person keeps each hand in the ice water. Sixth, repeat stops 2-5 with the number people that you have. Seventh, analyze your results

6 Variables Independent Variable: Ice Water
Dependent Variable: Left- handed and right- handed adult test subjects Controlled Variable: Temperature of the ice water
