2 Aberration (n.) A behavior that is different from the normal pattern that is typically unwelcomed The outward violence toward the teacher was an unexpected act of aberration.

3 Alias (n.) A fake name Katy Hudson became a famous pop star under the alias Katy Perry to avoid getting confused with actress Kate Hudson.

4 Antithesis (n.) The exact opposite
Upon leaving the interview, Jason realized that the job was the antithesis of what he was looking for.

5 Construe (v.) To interpret or analyze
The class tried to construe the teacher’s speech about responsibility, but there was too much sarcasm in the way.

6 Discomfit (v.) To make someone uncomfortable

Teachers deal with a plethora of excuses on a daily basis!
