5 The Challenges Standard classroom teaching methods are outdated
Digital Immigrant Teachers assume that natives learn the same way they did Immigrants and and Natives are speaking two different languages Natives do not value traditional ways of educating and feel it is not worth paying attention

6 What Can We Do Teachers need to communicate in the style of the students Incorporate traditional content (reading, writing, arithmetic) into future content (technology, communication, collaboration, ethics) Inject fun and excitement into learning Integrate new technology to enhance curriculum Redefine Teachers as coaches, facilitators, and guides
