4 Today there are around 35,000 Aphache people living in Arizona, and Mexico,

5 The Aphache tribe main source of food was buffalo

6 The Cherokee Indians were a very large Native American tribe

7 Over 5,000 Cherokee men and women died in the 1800's when the forced them to leave their homelands and move back to Oklahoma.

8 The French named them the Iroquois, but they called themselves the Haudenosaunee which means the People of the Longhouse.

9 The Iroquois lived in longhouses
The Iroquois lived in longhouses. These were long rectangular buildings made with wood frames and covered with bark.
