2 Why a point system? To become an official member of Pre-Physician’s Association To be considered for an Executive Board position for next year For attending exclusive meetings and events Suture Clinic Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine Clinic Medical School panels Certain volunteer events For special raffles and giveaways -“official member” means – that in order to put PPA on your resume or medical school application, you must have at least 11 points throughout the year (pay dues (total of 3 points), attend at least 2 volunteer events (total of 4 points), and 4 meetings (total of 4 points)) -must have more than 11 points to be considered for an E-board position, the more, the better because competition is fierce for positions -for exclusive meetings and events they will have a minimum amount of points each person will need to have before you are allowed to attend

3 How can I earn points? 1 point activities: 2 point activities:
Attending meetings Bringing in donations for drives Good ideas for meetings/events (up to 3 points) 2 point activities: Attending volunteer events Recruit new members (up to 4 points) 3 point activities: Paying dues Bringing in a guest speaker(s)

4 When will points be taken away?
Signing up for a service event but not showing up/not informing the volunteer coordinator 24 hrs prior to the start of the event (-2 for each event) Attending more than 4 meetings without paying dues (-1 each meeting after the 4th one)

5 Dynamic We may change a few things around (point values, additional ways to earn/loose points). You will be informed of these changes as soon as they take effect via , FB page, and at the meetings.
