This is your argument about the strength of your columnist’s argument. Is the original column’s argument sound and convincing? (You may synthesize the original source with the two other, outside sources to make your argument)

This is your chance to tell me how you felt about this assignment. Are you more informed?

5. Writing a Synthesis Argument
Pretend you are a fellow columnist responding to an argument (column) of choice from your task #1 columnist.
Defend, challenge, or qualify one (column) argument made by your chosen columnist.
Synthesize from that original column, as well as at least two other sources, as you make YOUR ARGUMENT.
