2 What are complex numbers?
Complex numbers are numbers in the form of a+bi where a and b are real numbers, and i is an imaginary number. i is NOT a variable, it is a number!!

Works just like real numbers On the calculator, need to be in a+bi mode

5 Powers of i To simplify the expression in, divide n by 4 and see what is left over. What is left over is now the new exponent for i. Examples:
