3 8-17-16 Bellringer Grab your composition notebooks.
**REMINDER** I will be grading these on Friday. They must be complete to receive credit, and they MUST BE in a COMPOSITION NOTEBOOK. There are some spiral notebooks, and others, but I will not grade these. They will result in a zero. **REMINDER**Any writing prompt given this week as bellringer or exit slip must have a MINIMUM of 6 complete sentences in order to receive credit. For today’s bellringer, in your composition notebook write today’s date and “Need2Know.” Monday was math minutes Tuesday was ACT Wednesday (today) Need2Know.

4 Agenda: 1. Recap: Cultural distinctions—folk, high, popular culture & examples 2. Computer lab for scavenger hunt over the 1940s. 3. Reminder: Vocabulary due by this Friday, upcoming quiz over the 6 words. NOT MULTIPLE CHOICE. You will be asked to define the word.

5 Exit Slip 8-17 Yesterday, you were asked to discuss and jot down some folk cultures of your own. In your composition notebooks, expand on this. Discuss something considered folk culture that you are a part of, think: church, sports, family traditions, etc.
