Steps to Dilate a Figure: To Decrease size of figure: Multiply each coordinate (x and y) by a scale factor smaller than 1 (example: multiply by 1 4 ) To Increase size of figure: Multiply each coordinate (x and y) by a scale factor larger than 1 (example: Multiply by 4)
