1. Edible DNA Model (Bonus Points)
-Construct a model of DNA out of edible material. Suggested items include:
Colored gummy bears, colored marshmellows, Twizzlers, etc.
-The actual parts of DNA must be edible, but the support system doesn’t have to be
Example: toothpicks, straws, kabob skewers
-Model must stand up vertically without assistance. Needs to be twisted in the double
helix shape. Parts must either be labeled on the actual model or a key/legend needs to be
provided. For each pairing of bases, you will receive two bonus points. Max – 20 “Rungs”
