2 The Industrial Revolution of the 18th and 19th Centuries was the most influential transformation of culture and working patterns in over ten thousand years. Its effects fuelled change in labour patterns, social structure, the function of the family and the values and attitudes of the individual. It involved more than just technological expansion - it was driven by massive social change. Technological innovations forced communities out of their traditional working patterns in their homes and into urban factories. This new spinning frame was huge, and could do the work of fifty people on spinning frames like mine! IN NO MORE THAN THREE SENTENCES, EXPLAIN HOW WORKING PATTERNS CHANGED IN ENGLAND!

The new developments in technology led to the development of new types of crime. The first example we will investigate is the crimes of the Luddites. Start Timer Who were the Luddites?
