-The humans might have misused technology and inventions which led to their destruction.
Perhaps a smarter animal, robot or alien took over.
We could prevent this by being cautious with what we create and how we use inventions and science.

-The zookeeper needed special permission because humans were considered highly intelligent and dangerous.
