Predict – What will their behavior be?
Influence – How can we control the behavior?

2. Describe What is the behavior? Can you SEE it? Can you HEAR it?
Can you SMELL it?
Can you TOUCH it?
Can you TASTE it?
It must be empirical to be considered scientific.
Empirical: Observable and NOT based on theory.

3. Explain Why are they engaging in the behavior? Environmental Factors
Development
Motivators
Dependent upon research to develop of theory of behavior.

4. Predict What will their behavior be? Consider the situation.
Consider the participants.
Consider motivation.
Always exceptions to the rule.

5. Influence How can you control the behavior? Encourage positive choices
Discourage unhealthy choices
Very useful for marketing, parenting, education, and politics.
