1 Improv Part 3

2 Terms to know Endowing: assigning characteristics to another player’s character Wimping: accepting an idea, but doing nothing to progress the scene.

3 Terms to know Chivalry: giving up control and being flexible with others’ ideas. Advancing: the process of moving a scene forward

4 Action Telephone Stand in a straight line, with spaces in between you.
You may not look behind you until I (Ms. Dishman) taps you on the shoulder. When your shoulder is tapped, turn around and watch the person perform an action. Then, duplicate the action exactly as you saw it.

5 Props I will be passing around an object.
When the object gets to you, you have to pretend it is something other than what it is. No duplicates!

6 Gift Scenes Get with a partner.
Decide who will be Partner A and who will be Partner B Partner A gives Partner B a gift. Partner B provides the offer (state what it is) and the two of you must advance the scene, chivalrously, and add more interesting detail.

7 Journal 3 Reflect on any moment that you were “stuck”. Explain what happened. Describe how you overcame it, or what you could try next time.
