3. ACT/SAT
The ACT and SAT tests are designed for students to take toward the end of junior year. It is suggested you take one or both during the spring semester of your junior year (April, May, June).
If you take these tests too early, you may not have covered enough high school curriculum in order to do your best.
ACT/SAT scores are used for admission to 4-year colleges. They are not required for junior colleges or trade schools.

6. ACT/SAT Bootcamps - JUNIORS

Juniors will be invited via letter/ in the spring. MHS will have 25 spaces per camp.
Cost is $35 for each camp and a student may register once for each type of camp.

7. COLLEGE VISITS Juniors are allowed two college visit days. Plan ahead:
Make appointment with Admissions office. You may also want to set up an appointment with Financial Aid, Housing, Academic Advisor.
Pick up a College Day form from the MHS Attendance office BEFORE you go.
Bring back something from the college stating that you visited. Turn it in to MHS Attendance office AFTER you return.

8. ATHLETES
If you plan to participate in sports at the Division I or II collegiate level:
Register with the NCAA Eligibility Center (eligibilitycenter.org)
You will need to send a transcript from every high school you have attended

10. PSAT All Juniors will take the PSAT on Wednesday, October 10
Provides students with a predicted SAT score & personalized study guide
Is the qualifying test for the National Merit Scholarship Program

11. CLASS RINGS
Junior class ring meeting Sept. 11th in Auditorium during Advisory
Jr. girls order 9/20 during lunches
Jr. boys order 9/21 during lunches
9/27 is a make up day for orders
Rings will be given out during a ring ceremony December 17th at 6:30 pm in the auditorium.
Jostens will be here December 18th during lunches to give out any remaining rings.
