1 Writing Polynomial Functions
Honors Algebra II with Trigonometry Mr. Agnew

2 Essential Question Essential Vocabulary
How do you write a polynomial function given its zeros? Essential Vocabulary Fundamental Theorem of Algebra Conjugate Zeros Theorem Irrational Root Imaginary Root

3 Fundamental Theorem of Algebra
The total number of zeros/solutions to a polynomial equation is equal to the degree of the polynomial

4 Conjugate Zeros Given a polynomial with rational coefficients:
If 𝒂+ 𝒃 is a root, then so is π’‚βˆ’ 𝒃 If 𝒂+π’ƒπ’Š is a root, then so is π’‚βˆ’π’ƒπ’Š β€œIrrational and imaginary roots come in conjugate pairs.”
