5 Field Experience Assignment
(DOWNLOAD forms and documents posted on website) 45 hours of active involvement in a TK-12 public school classroom Livescan: MUST be done with Business Department at the school site NOT Columbia College (College requirement) TB: available from the Student Health Center or use private physician - must be within the last 4 years.

Field Experience Contact list Site Placement forms and Service Learning Agreement Must be submitted before you can start your fieldwork!

Select and complete an appropriate Field Notes form and fill in the Time Log each time you go to the classroom. Mentor teacher must sign each of these forms. After 15 hours and again at the end of your 45 hours, have your mentor teacher complete the Performance Appraisal form. Write three reflections on your field experience hours using Reflective Cycle forms: Observing Teachers, Observing Classrooms and Curriculum, Tutoring. Write a Final Reflection Paper that synthesizes your learning from the field experience with your Ed 11 class learning.

10 For Next Week… Obtain Livescan and TB clearances and bring documentation to class. Knowledge Creation for next week: Teaching Channel: Review New Teacher Survival Guide and be prepared to share one resource you found helpful: Field Experience Goals worksheet and begin to complete it History of Education worksheet and make enough copies to complete assignment.
