1 I want you to organize your day
Based on the way yesterday progressed I want you to organize how your time was spent yesterday. If the most important part of your day was at school then I want you to break it down in a way that lets me know what you did. For instance I spent ¼ of the day at school 1/8 playing video games 1/16 on kik . . .

Understand the importance of History We are going to create a guide that will walk us through a graded assignment of SS8H6a Review the basics of the element Prepare for a quiz over SS8H6a tomorrow

3 Why do we History? Who is impacted most by history?
What can we do to use history to our advantage? When is history created? Why do you think we study history? How can history be beneficial to you in the future?

6 Powerful People I want you to describe five people we have studied in SS8H5 or SS8H6a or someone who impacted H6a I want you to give me something about them and how they impacted Georgia It can be in the form of a bulleted list just make sure you talk about both

I want you to create a timeline of the events of SS8H6a I want you to label at least six things on the timeline I also want at least 3 pictures that connects to different things on the timeline

8 Knowledgeable Narrative
You will be writing a narrative about one of the events in SS8H6a I want you to create your own prompt and write that prompt For example, You are a slave who is running for freedom or You are a slave owner who just seceded from the union

9 Constructing concepts
I want you to create concept map that compares two ideas we have studied An easy one may be comparing the compromises, a harder one may be to compare the cases of dred scott and worchestor Regardless make it relevant to SS8H6a

12 The Standard SS8H6 The student will analyze the impact of the Civil War and Reconstruction on Georgia. a. Explain the importance of key issues and events that led to the Civil War; include slavery, states’ rights, nullification, Missouri Compromise, Compromise of 1850 and the Georgia Platform, Kansas-Nebraska Act, Dred Scott case, election of 1860, the debate over secession in Georgia, and the role of Alexander Stephens.
