2. Meet the Teacher
I am very happy to be your child’s teacher this year. I have 13 years of teaching experience, including 1st, 2nd and ELL (English Language Learners). This is my first year teaching 4th grade and I am very excited for this new challenge.
I am looking forward to an exciting and memorable year.

New Common Core Standards emphasizing thinking about math & multiple ways to solve problems.

Reading:
Centers Approach - (independent reading and small groups)
Focus : comprehension, fluency, critical reading & responses

8. 4th Grade Book Challenge
Each student selected a goal to read 5, 10, or 15 books
Chosen from a variety of genres
Frequent book responses
Quarterly Book Project (1st Quarter project will be a Cereal Box Book Report)
