Biography: A Grecian-Jew who grew up in Jerusalem Had a good reputation in the Christian community Full of the Holy Spirit and full of wisdom Known for his faith A skilled apologist for the gospel (he could argue well for the truths of Christianity This is a 15th C. portrait of St. Stephen

2 How did Stephen get into trouble?
He proclaimed the gospel of Jesus and was accused of blasphemy against Moses He was charged with slandering the holy scriptures (OT) and the Jewish faith He was eventually brought before the Sanhedrin
