2. Prairie dogs live in grassland habitats.

3. If the zoo adopts a prairie dog the habitat should be set up as follows:
GRASSLAND
Big open spaces
Warm and Dry
Short-grass prairies
Very few trees and shrubs , less than one tree per acre
Food: grasses, seeds, leaves, flowers, fruit, eggs, and some insects
Shelter: Burrow underground

4. Some animals that can also be found here are ferrets, lions, and ostriches.
Some plants that can be found here are milkweed, poison ivy, sunflowers, goldenrod, and clover.
