2. Directions You will have 2 minutes at each word
You must write something you know (or think you know) about the word – it can be a definition, a synonym, an antonym, an example, or you can use the word in a sentence.

3. Opinion
Definition: a view or judgment formed about something, not necessarily based on fact or knowledge
Example:
Chocolate chip cookies are the most delicious food in the world.
Synonyms: belief, attitude, feeling, judgment
Antonyms: fact, truth, reality
Sentence:
It is a popular opinion that Mrs. Ingram is the best teacher in 7th grade.

4. Bias
Definition: prejudice in favor of or against one thing, person, or group compared with another, usually in a way considered to be unfair
Examples:
If someone is biased toward women, they might display that bias by hiring a man over a more-qualified woman.
If someone is biased toward a political affiliation, they might show it with name calling or refusing to believe their opponents could be right about anything.
Synonyms: favoritism, preconception, prejudice
Antonyms: fairness, justness
Sentence: There was evidence that the news article was biased against one political party.

5. Perspective
Definition: Perspective is a narrator’s attitudes or beliefs about an event, person, or place based on their own personal experiences.
Example: Stories are generally told through the eyes of a single character, and although that's usually the main character, that isn't always the case.  The Sherlock Holmes tales, for instance, are always told from the perspective of Watson, Holmes' assistant. 
Sentences:“There are three sides to every story: your side, my side, and the truth. And no one is lying.” -Robert Evans
Perspective focuses on how this narrator perceives what’s happening within the story
Perspective is shaped by a person’s culture, heritage, physical traits, and personal experiences.
Perspective can express a different approach to a well-known event or issue, and provides an opportunity for readers to see things in a new way.

6. Point of View
Definition: Point of view is the the vantage point (position) from which a story is told. It is the stance from which the action and events of the story unfold.
Examples: First-person, Thrid-person limited, Third-person omniscient
Sentences
In Literature, Point of View is NOT synonymous with PERSPECTIVE!
Point of View is the FORMAT OF NARRATION. It is a technical choice that the author makes in order to tell the story.
Point of view deals with who is telling the story.
