Brian Pool Executive Vice President Brian has been an EVP at RHF since He has more than 25 years experience in the mortgage industry. Previously, he was a mortgage bank owner, a national sales manager and held a DE underwriter designation. Brian holds a B.S. degree in finance from the University of Denver. Most recently, Brian has been instrumental in making the entire mortgage experience better by adding state of the art technology. The goal is to achieve thinner, simpler files with less conditions and quicker processing times. Brian resides in Wyndemere, FL with his wife and two children. He enjoys playing lacrosse and bicycling.

Maxine Smith Executive Vice President Operations Maxine oversees all of the departments within operations to ensure uniform and streamline processes that help the flow of our loan files. She administers quality control, uniform best standards, and strict compliance. Ms. Smith joined Residential Home Funding Corp. in 2009 and prior to that held positions for over 22 years in mortgage operations and branch development with US Mortgage Corp. and First National Funding. In 2000, she ran a branch of a mortgage banker where she learned firsthand the importance of clear communication between the branch office and parent company. That experience helped her understand what it takes to work with branch offices and provide them with the service they need and deserve. Maxine knows how to make the transition to RHFC a positive experience. She truly understands the importance of relationships in business and how important it is to maintain connections as Branch Managers and Loan Originators move forward with a new company.

Streamlined Operations Dept. Jean Salanitro Vice President Underwriting
Jean is a results driven mortgage professional with over 30 yrs. experience with all phases of retail, wholesale and correspondent lending. She has authored a few training manuals: Underwriting the Self Employed Borrower, Underwriting 101, Credit Guidelines and Red Flags of Fraud. Jean’s currently manages a team of 15+ underwriters and adheres to the 48 hr. turn times for customer satisfaction. She reviews and sets polices for underwriting with new investors and communicates any updates to all employees. Her availability for questions from the sales force demonstrates her passion for the borrower’s complete satisfaction with the mortgage process. She is always willing to review the loans and identify the best loan program that best meets the guidelines while maintaining compliance and quality control. Jean loves spending time with her family and enjoys boating and deeps sea fishing. Additionally, Jean is an avid football fan and looks forward to the fall season to enjoy watching the games.

Perform specific tasks assigned by loan officer Ensure files move through processing and closing in a timely manner Establish appointments with clients and complete necessary documents Make copies of important documents Promptly respond to client’s questions and concerns Follow up with clients at all times, keeping them informed of the loan process Accurately obtain & review applicant’s credit history Systematically store and maintain client data and files Properly prepare files for submission to processing Excellent customer service skills with clients to ensure client retention Efficiently perform a variety of research duties in support of the branch Stay acquainted with assigned loan officer’s daily schedule Proficiently assist in the development of financial objectives in association with present data

Processor Ability to analyze complex scenarios with regards to the processing of mortgage loans Strong focus on customer service with proactive communication to all parties Work directly with borrowers, sales team, and vendors Obtain required documentation in a timely manner and work with the customer to satisfy all outstanding conditions for the underwriter to review Detail oriented and able to adapt to an ever changing and fast paced environment Order appropriate exhibits and review for accuracy Adherence to established turn times and productivity metrics Effectively use our loan operating systems to ensure that all parties can clearly determine the status of each transaction Maintain the data integrity of loan files and compliance with applicable laws and regulations

DE Underwriter Underwrite a minimum of 2.5 (average) new loan files a day in addition to clearing conditions for files to close Manage pipeline to insure closing date deadlines and meet borrower’s expectations Perform a thorough analysis to ensure the quality of each loan and to determine compliance with company and investor guidelines Apply and interpret company underwriting guidelines and makes sound credit decision Complete credit, income analysis of loan, ensures proper audits are completed and verify consistency of loan file information Review of appraisal to insure collateral meets all industry standards Review and evaluate credit information on mortgage loan documents to determine acceptability into specific loan programs Determine any conditions, stipulations or pre-funding requirements Review receipt of any conditions, stipulations or pre-funding requirements within hours Communicate with loan officers, processors, underwriting manager and operations managers as required to resolve outstanding issues Review and cure any investor post-closing suspense requirements Assist departmental support staff when necessary

Closer Double check the following items: homeowner’s insurance; flood certification; title clearance; document expiration date and rate lock expiration date Prepare closing package through encompass Run all high cost tests through Mavent Prepare 203k loans through doc magic and run all high cost tests through docmagic compliance testing Prepare addendum to closing instructions listing all special conditions to be complied with at closing Forward closing package to include final fee sheet and addendum to closing instructions to settlement agent Review and approve final Hud-1 settlement statement prepared by settlement agent and resolve any issues prior to turning loan over to funder to order wire Once final Hud is approved turn file over to funder to order wire Mark milestone in encompass as “doc signed”
