4. 3D E-Waste Printer - Background
A growing global problem in the 21st century is e-waste. Waste from technology products produces between 20 and 50 million tons of of waste per year.
Tanzania alone produces over 9,500 tons of e-waste per year.
To both combat the e-waste surplus, and promote entrepreneurship, the first ever 3D E-Waste Printer was created.

5. 3D E-Waste Printer
Buni-Hub, a sub-sector of The Tanzania Commission For Science and Technology (COSTECH), is credited with creating the first model, which is made almost entirely out of e-waste.
The printers are going to be placed in multiple Fab-Labs across Africa. Fab-Labs are spaces for innovators and entrepreneurs to gather and work on projects.
The printers will allow for startups and entrepreneurs to build prototypes and models, as well as small-scale manufacturing.
Cost efficient way for innovators to work on their projects, while also helping the environment.

6. Mubser Belt
Helps blind and visually impaired people navigate their surroundings
Created by a computer engineering graduate from Egypt, Khaled Shady (22)
Inspired by a friend who lost his eyesight at 15 in an accident

Uses RGB imaging and infrared depth data captured by a 3D depth camera
Bluetooth headset and vibration motors send a message
