1 Starter Pick up your sketchbooks from last time.
Make sure you have your first name, last name, class period, jewelry, and book 1 listed on your first sketchbook. If you did not finish your sketchbook from last time get right to work on your sketchbook. If you were not here last time please see the teacher during work time to get you set up. Go to painting 1

4 Last Time! We made our book
We handed out the disclosure for this class, but didn’t get to discuss it much. If you were not here last time it is your responsibility to know the material you missed. See the classroom website for more information.

5 Electronic device signal
During this time electronic Devices are prohibited. This means cell phones should be put away Headphones should be out and down. Eyes should be on the teacher not looking down unless to take a note about something.

6 Required Materials & Fees
Students will need to bring a pencil to class daily for writing in class & daily sketches. Fees: Students are required to pay a fee for this course. $15 – for students or $7 – for students with fee waver

8 Designing Jewelry

9 Step 1 Find what you like Look around you & at things that you save to discover what you like to look at.

10 Step 2 Use the mirror technique to create a design
Put a mirror on sections of your piece and draw what you see.

11 Step 3 Decide what you want to make your jewelry out of. Wire
Sheet metal Paper Etc.

12 Step 4 Draw & Color your design
Using graph paper or tracing paper works to start Than copy to your books to have the design.

13 How to draw your name Demonstration First you will write your name
Second you will use pliers & Wire to trace your name You will have one end taped down while you do this. Demonstration

14 Studio Time Draw a 1 inch by 3 inch box onto your paper
Very neatly write your name in cursive onto the paper Using wire and round nose pliers trace your name.

15 Reflection How did your name turn out?
Please use at least 2 sentences to explain. Tape your name with your wire piece into your book on page 3 across from your notes on how to design jewelry & below your reflection.
