1 A New Technique for Graft-to-Graft Anastomosis to Reconstruct the Aortic Arch
Bashi V. Velayudhan, MS, MCh, A. Mohammed Idhrees, MS, MCh  The Annals of Thoracic Surgery  Volume 103, Issue 6, Pages e563-e564 (June 2017) DOI: /j.athoracsur Copyright © 2017 The Society of Thoracic Surgeons Terms and Conditions

2 Fig 1 (A) The ascending aortic graft is held in a gentle curve toward the left, and the aortic arch graft is gently pulled caudally. (B) A horizontal cut is made on the undersurface of the arch graft to match the diameter of the ascending aortic graft. (C, D) The free edge of the ascending aorta graft is sutured to the cut end of the arch graft in an end-to-side fashion. (E) The free right end of the arch graft is fashioned to a smooth curve, and the same is approximated. 3 Fig 2 (Left) Intraoperative view of patient for whom Bentall’s procedure with hemiarch replacement and coronary artery bypass grafting was performed. (Center and Right) Three-dimensional computed tomographic reconstruction on follow-up, demonstrating physiologic curvature of the aorta and good intraluminal patency.
