2 with the Gospel of Christ
National Goal: $300,000 Translate Awana materials into native languages currently not available. Help support missionaries so they can train leaders and pastors to start new Awana Clubs so more children can be reached with the life changing Gospel message. Reach 50,000 children with the Gospel of Christ Awana International’s Change the Ending Mission Month is a way to help children around the world hear the Gospel message that can change the ending of their lives for eternity. National Goal: $300,000 to reach 50,000 more children with the Gospel of Christ. This year’s funds will be used to help translate Awana materials into languages not currently available. It will also help support missionaries so they can train leaders & pastors to start new Awana clubs so more children can be reached with the life changing Gospel message.

3 How can I get involved? $5.00 has been set aside in your name.
In February you can INVEST this $5.00 so you can double, triple or quadruple it. At the end of February, you will BRING BACK the $5.00 plus what you have made through your investment. It will go towards REACHING KIDS for Jesus thru Awana in another country! If you need $5.00 to help you get started, our church family here at VCOB has already sponsored YOU for this amount! Your mom or dad can pick it up next week during club, as we’re having parent night that night! You’ll have the entire month of October to raise funds with or without the $ What you decide to do may not require money to invest up front. Do you think you each can raise $20.00 in a month? In November you will bring the money you’ve earned. 4. These kids will hear about Jesus just like you do through Awana! They’ll learn verses, have game time and large group time too!

4 WHAT GOAL CAN WE AS A CLUB SET?
Our Goal 40 Clubbers sponsored X $5.00 = $200.00 40 Clubbers raised X $ = $400.00 plus leaders & congregation contribute to the Mission Month project = $500.00 Total Raised = $ WHAT GOAL CAN WE AS A CLUB SET? You will need to customize this slide to represent your number of clubbers and showing a goal for your club/church that is a stretch but obtainable. The $5.00 set aside for each clubber either comes out of the Awana fund or could be raised through sponsorships through your congregation (sponsor a clubber at $5 per clubber to provide them “seed” money to invest in a project to see if they can multiple it for kingdom work) How many can earn $10.00? How many can earn $15.00? How many can earn $20.00? Maybe more? I know some have earned as much as $ from other clubs who have done something similar in the past so it can be done!

5 How Can I Start? During the month of February - double, triple or quadruple your “seed” money. Bring your earned dollars to club each week or at the end of February. This week – Make a plan & set a goal with your parents! Next week, if needed for your project, request your $5.00 “seed” money to INVEST in supplies. Think about how you’re going to invest your $5.00 in February or earn dollars during that month for Change the Ending Mission Month! Set a goal! Talk about it in your handbook group-brainstorm, TALK ABOUT IT WITH YOUR PARENTS!!!! (Date) – The $5.00 will be distributed to you (via your parents) if you choose. Through the month of February – Work towards your goal. Weekly or at the end of February – Bring your earned dollars back to club including your initial “seed” money

6 End of February You get to VOTE!
Pick an area of the world where our funds will go to help translate curriculum, to support the missionaries and to start new Awana Clubs. 1 vote for each $5.00 you turn in Everyone gets at least one vote!

7 Make an eternal difference & help FINISH THE WORK
Why are we doing this? Learn stewardship! Make a difference! Learn about generosity and God’s grace Demonstrate our love to God Make an eternal difference & help FINISH THE WORK John 4:34-38 You are learning to be a good steward of the $5.00 a family/individual at Village Church is entrusting to each of you! So you know that you CAN make a difference in another child’s life in another country! Understand the importance of being involved in missions around the world! We have been blessed here in the U.S.!

8 Let’s brainstorm on how you can earn $5, $10, $15 or even more!
How can I invest the $5.00? Let’s brainstorm on how you can earn $5, $10, $15 or even more! I’m going to give you some instructions now. Do not move until I tell you to! 1) Your leaders are going to a different area of the room right now. I want each of your handbook groups to brainstorm right now as to how you can individually or collectively raise money in February during the Mission Month. 2) For the next XX minutes, your leader will write down your ideas and we’re going to share those ideas with everyone. ________ is going to write down your ideas on the white board. 3) When we’re done we’re going to pray together for this next month, that God will bless your efforts and that you will see the importance of of planting seeds that reap eternal rewards for children around the world. OK – NOW, first look around and find your leader – no talking please! Quickly go to your leader and start brainstorming.
