3 TUCC Vision – the supporting pillars Club Championship We will strive for strong, consistent performance across all teams We will develop talent at all levels of the club and we will learn to win the close games Consistently strong performances in all teams keeps pressure on all places in each team ensuring that all players understand their role and the expectations of their Captain and the club Premierships If we focus on the first three goals then our teams will make finals and experience success A successful club will breed ongoing success as we will be able to attract players and support to the club over the longer term Winning should be fun Spirit of Cricket Our guiding philosophy is to win fairly and we NEVER want to lose sight of the spirit of the game We always respect the game but will play the toughest cricket possible Our culture celebrates the spirit of the rules and we recognise that this is not for all players.We will create a safe environment for all to play their best cricket Representative Cricket We will develop representative players at all ages and especially senior State and Australian reps We will ensure that we create an environment in which talent is developed and recognised We will have relevant coaching programs and appropriate facilities We will develop players inter-personal, leadership skills as well as their cricket. 9 TUCC Selection Process Current Availability PM prepares list of available players for ED, JC, GC by Tuesday night. Coaches Input PM & ED seek information from High Performance Coach, Strength & Conditioning Coach, Skills Coach, Assistant Coaches Captains input PM, ED, JC, GC and PM seek clarification from Captains about performance, roles played, team balance, opportunities, and more. Sat Sun Mon Tue Wed Thu Fri Performance Availability Captains Coaches Selection Play Cricket Weekend games and/or other club activities. Players need to understand their role and play to their potential. Training Tuesday Players have done some self analysis and are aware of their opportunities for the week ahead. Training Thursday Players work on goals for the next game. Train in teams if possible so captains can develop roles for the game. Long Term Availability Players contact PM via email to ensure that TUCC has accurate player availability information. Proposed teams PM proposes teams for the weekend. Teams Announced PM, ED, JC Announce teams at 5pm & 7.45pm. Teams Published Mercury, Email, and poss Web.
