2. Summary A lot of progress has been made since the project proposal.
We have almost completed the map for Reimer’s Ranch, and we have started the digitization of Muleshoe Bend.

3. Scope The scope of the project has not changed since the proposal.
Provide detailed maps for club use, simple maps for rider use.
Maps are to include trails, trail difficulty, elevation, emergency access points, important features, flood zones, etc.
We plan to have both Reimer’s Ranch and Muleshoe Bend completed by December 7th

4. Rough Draft of the Reimer’s Ranch Map
Work Completed
Reimer’s Ranch was digitized in Google Earth
KML files were converted to layer files so they could be used in ArcMap.
Map was created in Illustrator.

5. Present Work Digitizing Muleshoe Bend
Boundaries and some roads have been made.

Complete the Muleshoe Bend map in the same way the Reimer’s Ranch Map was completed.

7. Problems Converting KML files to files that can be used in ArcMap
Using QGIS created more files than needed.
Solution: Use KML to Layer tool in ArcToolbox.

8. Conclusion
The last few features of the Map of Reimer’s Ranch are being added.
Some problems have come up, but have been resolved.
These solutions will allow the Muleshoe Bend map to go more smoothly.
We expect to be able to complete the maps of Reimer’s Ranch and Muleshoe Bend by December 7th.
