view synthesis aim to create new views of a specific subject by using two pictures taken from given point of views. Presented By: Shangchi Lin
2
view synthesis Given two images of a specific subject, taken from specific points with specific camera setting and orientations, try to build a synthetic image as taken from a virtual camera placed in a different point and with given settings.
3
view synthesis Method What we do is mostly focusing on detecting, grouping, and extracting features (edges, faces, etc.) presented in a given picture and then trying to interpret them as three-dimensional clues. Image-based modeling and rendering allows the use of multiple two-dimensional images in order to generate directly novel two-dimensional images, skipping the manual modeling stage.
4
view synthesis What we need to concern: Transition Formula (the most important) Hole Fill & Object Cover Expected result: Like a video player Smoothly change view point
5
view synthesis Other new method: The picture is represented by a triangle mesh. We change view point by using shape manipulation and deformation.
