Modern approaches to reading the Bible tend to focus on the study of footnotes and biblical sources
However, the Word of God is alive and inspired by the Holy Spirit
Focus should be on the actual Word of God
The actual verses have the power to meet us where we are and lead us to deeper relationship with the Lord

Our Daily Process:
Read the Scripture out loud, as a class
Focus on one word or phrase
What got your attention?
Choose a word or phrase that evokes a feeling or gets your mind thinking
Put yourself in the place of a person in the passage
Try to imagine what they may be thinking or feeling
Reflect and pray about what you have read
Write a brief response to the readings

God is the Creator of the world and everything in it. We are all made in His image and likeness. We were made out of love and should strive to serve others with that same love.
