In the covered thoracic aorta, a stable thrombosis of the false lumen, combined with shrinkage of the false lumen, was observed after 1 year (B) and 4 years (C). In the abdominal aorta the false lumen remained patent, with a stable aortic diameter after 1 year (E) and after 4 years (F).
