16 total years in education, 12 teaching, 4 in administration 2nd year at Baker Elementary 4 children ages 14,12,10,8

3 Introductions Assistant Principal Tracy Dwyer
25 years in education, teaching, teacher on special assignment, instructional coach, and administration 4th year at Baker Two children ages 20 & 18

4 Baker Staff Baker Elementary has dedicated professionals to support the students both inside and outside the classroom. Currently 650 students throughout grades K-5 31 teachers ( includes special ed/Instructional coach) 18 Classified Staff ( Office, Kitchen, Custodial, Intervention, Instructional aides) All teachers work collaboratively to support the educational needs of the students. Teachers work together to plan lessons and units.

6 Parent Community We have a very involved parent community that support the school and staff in many ways. We have a very active HSC that raises money to support the school, staff and students. The Catwalk, Book Fairs, Restaurant Nights, International Day Teachers welcome parent volunteers ABC Readers, Art Vistas

Library/Computer Lab Raz Kidz, Reading Eggs (K-1), Imagine learning ( EL students) JiJi(K-5), Big Brainz Brain pop, Big Universe After School Intervention Instrumental Music (4-5) After School Enrichment-Fee Based (YR, Chess, Mad Science, GOTR..)

8 Kindergarten Requirements
Child must be 5 by September 1, 2017 If your child turns 5 between September 2nd and December 2nd, eligible for Transitional Kindergarten

9 Extended Day Care On Campus After School Program!
Encouraging, empowering and enriching Play-based program with social-emotional development focus Includes: homework time, snack, group games, art projects, story time, recess, and indoor play time Registration Opens March 1st! Sign up early to save your child’s spot! (Last year we were full by April 1st!)
