It’s a zip top OUT filled with things like:
blankets, Chap Stick, hard candy, hand lotion/sanitizer, fluffy socks, etc.
And WHO will you give these to?
Anyone you want! I picked the Gephart Cancer Center in Hamilton, Ohio because it’s actually in my town. You could pick a NICU and do this for moms of NICU babies and call it NICU comfort bags.
March is Autism Awareness Month, contact local support groups, local women’s shelter
Diabetes Center or Dialysis Center
Do something that is near and dear to YOU
Then you’re going to make your flier. Mine will be uploaded to our team page so you can alter it

We’re going to pass a flier out to local businesses. In the flier it explains…
Dear Local Business Owner:
I am organizing a special fundraiser for "Chemo Comfort Bags" which will be donated to patients undergoing chemotherapy treatment at our local Gebhart Cancer Center at Fort Hamilton Hospital.
A donation of $25 will provide a large zip-top tote bag that has 7 pockets. I will purchase blankets, Chap Stick, hard candy, hand lotion/sanitizer, fluffy socks, etc. to fill the bags.
With your donation, you can provide a flier for your business that will be included in the chemo comfort bags. My goal is to donate 20 bags!
I am also looking for any small businesses that may want to donate items to make the bags extra special, or sponsor some bags themselves.
The completed bags will be given to patients undergoing chemotherapy. They can use the bags to carry their personal items (books, electronics, drinks & supplies) to/from their treatment appointments.

4. So how else can you promote this?
You can also set up a Facebook event on your closed customer page, or a personal post on your main page, I will share that post with you also
You could even do give a ways for donations
You can post on your MAIN page that you’re collecting items to be donated FOR the bags
ask your church or local churches to take up donations for items to go in the bags

5. SO WHY do you want to do these?
You’re giving BACK!
Marketing to business owners, take a catalog
Marketing to all the workers. Talk to people while you’re there
Around Christmas time (Sept.), we’re going to go BACK

6. Now it’s time to pass out your flier
Go to local businesses. Maybe 1 hour, 3 times a week if possible.
Take TONS of fliers and mini catalogs
DON’T FORGET!! Get a BUSINESS card for the manager. WHY? Because we’re going to do a follow up call!!!
