2 What is a Voted Local Levy?
Property Tax that can be levied by a School District per U.C.A. 53A-17a-133 Levy must be approved by the majority of the voters Proceeds can be used for maintenance and operations of the school district (no restrictions)

3 Voted Local Levy & State Guarantee, how does it work?

4 What is the increase being Proposed this November?
Increase of to the Voted Local Levy A voted local levy was authorized in 1998 at a levy of .0006 The proposed increase would bring the voted levy up to .0016 Based on the FY17 Legislative Estimates this would generate: $4,040,047 in additional property taxes for the school district $3,708,892 in additional state funding $7,748,939 in total revenues for the school district The State would guarantee roughly $0.92 for every $1 of property tax generated using the above estimates.

Please Vote November 7, 2016 The ballot will be mailed to you 21 days before the election. *Grantsville City & Tooele City will be able to vote November 7th at the regular polling locations, all other areas in the County will be vote by mail only
