Property Tax that can be levied by a School District per U.C.A. 53A-17a-133
Levy must be approved by the majority of the voters
Proceeds can be used for maintenance and operations of the school district (no restrictions)

Increase of to the Voted Local Levy
A voted local levy was authorized in 1998 at a levy of .0006
The proposed increase would bring the voted levy up to .0016
Based on the FY17 Legislative Estimates this would generate:
$4,040,047 in additional property taxes for the school district
$3,708,892 in additional state funding
$7,748,939 in total revenues for the school district
The State would guarantee roughly $0.92 for every $1 of property tax generated using the above estimates.
