1 If I Could Turn Back Time…

2 Your project will be to go back to an earlier project and see just how much you’ve grown.
Whatever you choose needs to take around FOUR classes to complete – if you are “done” in 2 classes, it’s not enough. You should follow the basic guidelines of the original projects, but feel free to branch out and use all your new knowledge and insights into art and from your own emerging perspective, style, etc to make this project REALLY YOURS. Use this to see your own growth! You’ve all progressed a bunch since Art 1!!!

3 Your options: Art 1 Contour Hands (contour line design, hands must be part of it, full background) “Cans” (drawing and shading a still life of your choice) Metal Embossing/Repousse (must be 2-3 sheets of metal) Mandala (must put more into the design element than just the leaves) Art 2 Portraits (go beyond the first assignment, more detail, harder pose, can work from photos but NO TRACING OR GRIDDING) No Fear Watercolor (good small details required!) Trompe L’oeil (same exact thing, but you can try non-plant items) Pastels (you can’t go outside, but you can set up a still life or do a portrait in pastel) Clay (make 2 slab pots or 1 slab pot and two pinch pots… nice small details required!)

4 WHAT I NEED FROM YOU (10 pts.)
A paragraph stating: The project you’re re-doing WHY you want to return to this project Reflection on what you did and didn’t like the first time you did the project and what you’ll do now. You specific plan for this project A decent sketch of what you are going to make.
