1 LT - Today I will read a fable in order to determine the message the author is trying to tell us. BR – Look at the pictures, which animal do you think would be a protagonist (good guy) and which would be an antagonist (bad guy)? Why? Tuesday, August 28th, 2018

2 Glossary of Terms Coax – to convince somebody to do something by being friendly or nice. (Ex – “No matter how hard I tried, I was unable to coax a raise out of my boss.” Anxious – excitedly nervous. (Ex – “I was so anxious to go to Disney World I could barely contain myself.”) Reed – a tall, thin grass in or near water.
