To give an opportunity to Rotarians, Clubs and Districts throughout the world to make their feelings known on how Rotary International and The Rotary Foundation are operating, and what, if any, changes should be made to those operations.

10-52 – Transferring active member shall be contingent upon receiving certificate from prior club certifying the person was a member of the club. Passed

18. 10-61 ENACTMENT To change time frames of Spring Assembly & PETS.

Purpose is to give training to incoming Presidents and officers as early as possible.

Proposal to add Corporate Member as category of membership
Lot of discussion – Could discern that N. American districts spoke in favor, other areas not so.
I spoke on this one and presented the idea of small Mom & Pop businesses could share the membership.

24. PROPOSAL
Proposed that children of Rotarians be allowed to accept Foundation Awards – Proposed by District 5060

Proposal 118 to raise GSE age to 50 Withdrawn
Proposal 119 to raise GSE age to 45 failed
Lot of discussion about ability to get off work, professionalism, etc. North America seemed to be for, rest of world not so much. Closest vote of COL

26. ENACTMENT
To add $3.00 to RI dues to partially cover registration fees for International Convention. Keep registration fee at $ p.p.
Had Board Support. RIPE Klinginsmith spoke passionately for the proposal.
Amended to eliminate emergency raising of fees – Passed

Didn’t see many green cards

28. ENACTMENT
Automatic succession of DGE or DGN to the appropriate post when the predecessor can not serve.
I spoke in favor of the change and cited what happened in our district.

29. ENACTMENT
To terminate a club that fails to comply with stewardship policies of The Rotary Foundation
No really vocal opposition to this.

30. ENACTMENT
Members in Canada & USA have option to choose printed or electronic copy of ROTARIAN Magazine
Lot of discussion on this. Many thought this would eliminate the ROTARIAN Magazine altogether.
