2 Response to Comments on 802.15.4n PAR
March 2012 doc.: IEEE /0368r1 March 2012 Response to Comments on n PAR Comment Title: Add numeric range for band Response Reject Makes title unnecessarily wordy. Information is contained in sections below. Title: Is using a new short version of titles? My Project does not allow any revisions. 5.2 Scope: delete “, if any, “ Accept Clint Powell (PWC, LLC) Jon Rosdahl, (CSR)

3 Response to Comments on 802.15.4n PAR
March 2012 doc.: IEEE /0368r1 March 2012 Response to Comments on n PAR Comment 5.5 Need: Check title of Chinese Regulator reference. (Expected to see a SRRC reference) Response Accept Replace Chinese Radio Administration with Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the Peoples Republic of China. SRRC is no longer used. 5.5 expand first use of Acronym “Medical Body Area Network (MBAN)” 5.6 Stakeholders: Suggested replacement: “The stakeholders include medical equipment manufactures, patients and healthcare providers both within hospitals and in residential environments. Stakeholders also include remote support facilities service providers. 7.1: delete “Technically the answer is no, but” Clint Powell (PWC, LLC) Jon Rosdahl, (CSR)

4 Response to Comments on 802.15.4n PAR
March 2012 doc.: IEEE /0368r1 March 2012 Response to Comments on n PAR Comment 7.1: change “15.j” to “IEEE P j” Response Accept 7.1: remove the “P” from “P ” and note that “IEEE Std.” is missing from the Project Standard Number field and in the Project title. Add “IEEE Std.” to “ ” appears. (2 times) 7.1 Add a “IEEE P” to “ j” appears 3 times. 8.1: The Note for 5.2 would be better as part of the Coexistence statement in the 5c. And 7.1 is more appropriate for Unique Identity in the 5c. Delete both paragraph 1 and 2. Clint Powell (PWC, LLC) Jon Rosdahl, (CSR)

5 Response to Comments on 802.15.4n PAR
March 2012 doc.: IEEE /0368r1 March 2012 Response to Comments on n PAR Comment 8.1 Add “7.1” prior to paragraph 3, and change the “P ” to “IEEE Std ” and change “15.4” to “IEEE Std ” Response Accept 8.1 Add “7.1:” prior to paragraph 4, and change “is a similar amendment to 15.4n” to “is similar to this amendment,” Clint Powell (PWC, LLC) Jon Rosdahl, (CSR)

6 Response to Comments on 802.15.4n 5C
March 2012 doc.: IEEE /0368r1 March 2012 Response to Comments on n 5C Comment 1.a) Change “ ” to “IEEE Std ” or Delete “ is already used for this”. Response Accept 1.a) Change “ /LR-WPAN” to IEEE Std ” Change “Industries” to “industries”. 1.a) Expand first use of LR-WPAN or replace with “IEEE Std ” 3.a) change “in these” to “in the” Clint Powell (PWC, LLC) Jon Rosdahl, (CSR)

7 Response to Comments on 802.15.4n 5C
March 2012 doc.: IEEE /0368r1 March 2012 Response to Comments on n 5C Comment 4.c) Coexistence: A Coexistence Assurance document is needed even if it is a very short one that states the information listed here… Response Accept Changed From: If needed, a Coexistence Assurance document will be created but in all likelihood one will not be necessary since there are currently no other IEEE 802 standards defined for use in these bands. To: If needed, a Coexistence Assurance document will be created. 5 a) this does not make sense. Rewrite. Look at using text from b) IEEE Std Chinese medical devices will make use of the existing high volume applications in the Chinese medical bands. As a result cost factors and reliable data are well known. Due to the similarity to existing high volume IEEE Std applications cost factors are well known. Clint Powell (PWC, LLC) Jon Rosdahl, (CSR)

8 March 2012 doc.: IEEE /0368r1 March 2012 WG Motions Motion: request that the PAR and Five Criteria contained in documents and respectively be approved by the IEEE WG and that the EC be requested to forward the PAR to NesCom. Moved: Clint Powell Seconded: Liang Li Result: Motion: request that the WG empowers its WG chair to, at the Chair’s discretion, amend the proposed PAR and Five Criteria stated in and with any combination of the following changes: 1.    minor content changes to the PAR and Five Criteria in response to EC discussion 2.    modification of the title to include frequency bands  Clint Powell (PWC, LLC) Jon Rosdahl, (CSR)
