3 Intermission Discussion: Rain Gear
Goal is to be waterproof and breathable. Certain fabrics are made to repel the elements but allow water vapor (from sweat) to escape. This is done via microscropic pores in the fabric. Gortex vs Other Proprietary Brands Gore-Tex is made with polytetraflouroethylene (PTFE), also known as Teflon.
