5. IXL – Reading/Math Website Program
IXL- is an online learning program we are using this year both in Reading and Math. Your children can access thousands of skills that match what they are learning in school.
Students in Pre-Kindergarten through Eighth Grade have access to IXL.
IXL is used in the classroom and/or at home depending on the teacher’s
discretion.
Each child received instructions on how to log on with their personal username and password. If your child did not receive any instructions please contact their teacher.

6. IXL Letter to Parents
Dear Parent, I am pleased to tell you that we will be using a website called IXL in our classroom this year. IXL is a comprehensive learning program offering unlimited math and language arts practice across thousands of skills—all of which are aligned to New Jersey Standards. One of the best things about IXL is that your child can access it from home, so you have a chance to see your child's progress! To get your child started on your home computer, please follow these easy steps: Go to Enter your child's username and password and click "Sign in.“ (Note: If the username and password are not listed below, they will be provided separately.) Username_____________________ Password_____________________ Click on any skill to start learning! IXL is designed to help your child learn at his or her own pace. The program is adaptive and will adjust based on your child's demonstrated understanding of the material. All of your child's results will be saved, so you can monitor his or her progress anytime by clicking on Analytics. For on-the-go practice, you can download IXL’s free tablet apps for iPad, Android, or Kindle and sign in with your child’s username and password.

Interactive web phonics based reading program designed for elementary students.
Students practice and learn fundamental literacy skills by interacting with the program.

Lexia® Core5® Reading can be used at home for extra practice. Getting started is easy!
To use on a computer, go to
To use on an iPad, iPad mini, or Android* tablet, download the free Lexia Core5 Reading app from the App Store or the Google Play store. *Android support is limited to these devices: Samsung Galaxy Tab S2, Google Pixel C, and Google Nexus 7” (2012 and 2013) and 10”. The app will not work on other devices, including Kindle.
The first time your child uses Core5, you may need to enter the teacher . Your child can then log in with the username and password used at school.
It is important that your child works without any help while using Core5. All of the work your child does at home is recorded and reported to school. This way, teachers can see when help is needed and provide additional instruction at school.
If you have a question about your child’s username or password, please contact your child’s teacher.

9. Kids a-z Is an online reading program
Provides differentiated books online to students to practice reading skills in school, and at home
Leveled books and resources in printable and digital formats
Many books in English and Spanish
Passwords were given from the homeroom teachers

11. “Splash Math”
Splash Math is an online self paced math practice program with interactive math problems and explanations of incorrect answers.
It offers unlimited math problems across grades K through 5 which helps differentiate instruction to the students who are sometimes at a different grade level . Practice problems are presented in a visually engaging format and additional fun games keep the students motivated to work towards mastery of skills.

12. Login Instructions for “Splash Math”
Splash Math works seamlessly across desktops and iPads, which means your child can also practice at home (on a personal device). In the meanwhile, the teacher will be able to monitor all progress, through teacher’s dashboard.
